The Cerrato Cooperative was founded in 1968 by a group of farmers from the Cerrato region of Palencia and today it is the largest cheese cooperative in Spain.
In 1971, cheese production began at the factory located in Baltanás (Palencia).
Since then, a careful elaboration process has been followed in which the most traditional know-how is combined with the most modern technologies and curing in the traditional style of the area.
Since 2006 Quesos Cerrato has been part of the AGROPAL Food Group, the only cooperative group that integrates agriculture, livestock, agro-food transformation and distribution, and one of the main cooperatives in Castilla y León and Spain.
Our philosophy
At Quesos Cerrato we are committed to the commitment to the land, sustainability and the future of livestock, producing high-quality products, adapting to new consumer tastes and market challenges.
Our objectives are to develop new products that provide health and well-being, invest in the search for new forms of management that reduce costs and return part of the profits generated to the cooperative member.
We are a dairy industry that is part of a large cooperative team in which everyone depends on everyone.

Cerrato Red Label is your usual cheese. Its high content of sheep's milk provides a balanced, aromatic flavor with character.
